In Newcastle everyone knows each other and it doesn’t seem quite as competitive. In Sydney, it’s very hush hush.
I’ve gotten over my burnout and now I’m fresh into starting up my creative agency called Human Again. To make sure I don’t work around the clock this time, I’ve got a new system.
Taking care of my father and studying his illness helped me come up with an idea for an app.
I pursued standup comedy while still at University of Newcastle, and before I graduated I felt like I was at a crossroads where I’d pursue a creative life or professional life, and I went down the creative route.
One of the biggest struggles for me is timing. Right now I’ve got about four jobs on at once, and a few weeks ago I didn’t have any work.
The biggest struggle since I’ve moved has been the social aspect. I’ve been going to networking events and cafes trying to meet likeminded people.
I’ve lived in Sydney, Vancouver and Berlin. Newcastle keeps on pulling me back in with its great beaches and friendly vibes
